Saturday, March 13th - Restorative Yoga with Liz Padula of Artemis Yoga, 1 – 2 p.m.
Ready to relax? This gentle, online class will introduce you to restorative yoga which is a moving meditation that is designed to help slow your body down and initiate a restorative, relaxation response. With some slow opening poses, passive stretching of muscles, and perhaps a guided meditation, you will practice quieting your mind and enjoying the calm. Be sure to have blankets and/or bolster or pillows to enhance the relaxation experience. If you have an eye-pillow, have that available too. Students should be able to lie down and get up on their own from a mat. No previous yoga experience is necessary. If you do not have a yoga mat, you may use a beach towel and you simply need to wear comfortable clothing with layers. This class is a wonderful opportunity for self-care and inward reflection. Yoga teacher and parishioner, Liz Padula is the owner of Artemis Yoga, located at 639 Mt. Auburn St., Watertown.
