Spiritual Companioning
Ignatius believed that we all need companions for the spiritual journey. At St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish, there are a variety of opportunities for accompaniment available to those with some experience and commitment to prayer and reflection who wish to deepen their relationship with God.
If you are interested in finding a spiritual director, there are two places that you can contact for more information:
For those seeking an Ignatian spiritual director, click on the icon below to connect to the Catalog of Spiritual Directors, a service of the Office of Ignatian Spirituality, Jesuits East.
St. Joseph Spiritual Ministries, with locations in Brighton and Newton, welcome women and men who seek a deeper relationship with God through spiritual direction and retreats. Click on the icon below to locate the request form for spiritual direction.
19th Annotation of the Spiritual Exercises
The parish also invites you to consider the experience of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius, offered as a retreat in daily life, also known as the 19th Annotation Retreat.
The 19th Annotation includes both individual spiritual direction and bimonthly communal gatherings with faith-sharing.

Applications for this experience are available now for our next retreat that begins in September, 2026 and concludes in May, 2027.
To apply for the Spiritual Exercises, 19th Annotation Retreat Program, please contact Kathy Maher.
