Spiritual Companioning

Ignatius believed that we all need companions for the spiritual journey. At St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish, there are a variety of opportunities for accompaniment available to those with some experience and commitment to prayer and reflection who wish to deepen their relationship with God.

Individual spiritual direction can guide those seeking to pay closer attention to the ways in which God is active in our lives. For more information and referrals to spiritual directors in the Boston area please contact Kathy Maher, Spiritual Life Coordinator at (617) 552-6112. You can also access the Catalog of Spiritual Directors available below.

The parish also invites you to consider the experience of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius, offered as a retreat in daily life, also known as the 19th Annotation Retreat. This is next offered in the fall of 2022 and includes both individual spiritual direction and bimonthly communal gatherings with faith-sharing.

To apply for the Spiritual Exercises, 19th Annotation Retreat Program, please contact Kathy Maher at katherine.maher@bc.edu.
